FROM THE BEGINNING

Kotanical is Ireland's first company to distil essential oils from native sources.

Founder Karl Murray saw the potential in the flora growing all around him in Ireland. He spent over six years researching distillation techniques and experimenting with wild-crafted ingredients, building relationships with Irish farmers and growers along the way. Douglas Fir from the forests of Co. Cork became our Forest blend, Ireland's first native essential oil, and the one that started everything.

SOURCING

Not every essential oil can be grown here, so where we can't distil in Ireland ourselves, we go to the growers who do it best elsewhere. Every oil, wherever it starts, is filled and finished right here in Ireland, and every supplier is checked against the Leaping Bunny standard, so none of them test on animals.
